Amanda:  Very little reading for me again this week. I'm still reading Feverborn by KMM.

Angela: This week I finished The Iron Lance (The Celtic Crusades #1) by Stephen Lawhead. It was wonderful to read an author I haven't read in so many years. Really loved it, even if the battle scenes were very descriptive. I need a light read after that so read Lisa Kleypas' new series Cold-Hearted Rake (The Ravenels #1) and while it was okay it spent too much time setting up book two in the series. It did make me excited to read the next book though.

Anne:  I'm still living in the fanfiction world. I can't bring myself to face the end of Hard Bitten. I'm also about 2/3rds of the way through A Breath of Snow and Ashes. I'm really loving this book. So much happens!!

Barb: I finished Sempre: Redemption this week and, despite it being a bit drawn out, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I fell in love with the characters, and their struggles and growth kept me riveted. I also finished Twice Bitten, which remains my very favorite Chicagoland Vampires book with my very favorite quotes of the series. I’ve started Hard Bitten, but I don’t know who far I’ll get in this, because it is Hard Bitten after all. I’m also looking for another great mafia story, so if you have any suggestions, please suggest.

Care:  This week has been another adventure in children’s lit!  We’ve been listening to Frank Einstein and the Antimatter Motor and having bedtime story time with The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson #2). Otherwise, it has been a lot of website reading and researching - much reading for information, rather than for fun.

Donna:  This week I've been reading another classic: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

Kathi:  I'm still rereading Dragonfly in Amber, but haven't made much progress this week, possibly due to reading approximately 1,000 articles about the Outlander TV series and watching the first episode of season 2 a half dozen times (so far)!

Merit: I’ve read a new (for me) fantasy story: Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, First book in The Study trilogy. Yelena is waiting for her execution; surprisingly she is offered a reprieve, an offer she can’t refuse: becoming the commander’s food taster. I loved the determined, stubborn heroine, her baddies are great and her love interest is to swoon for, though the romance is only a small part of the story. A lot goes in this very military-based country: poisons, combats, acrobatics, magic, assassins, festivals, delicious food. The author succeeded in building a fascinating world, though I’d love me some smut in the romantic part... I’ll go for book 2 as soon as I finish watching Outlander Se. 2 ep. 1!

Zee:  I’ve kinda been stuck after Tiffany Reisz’s The Siren. I don’t really know what I need to cleanse my mind of all the things that happened in it and to get over the intensity of that book. I started reading Jennifer Dawson’s Crave. Which is interesting so far. But I think I need something cheerful. Any recommendations?
